And it’s one we’re passionate about sharing with as many people as possible. That’s our philosophy of health and fitness. And it comes from living with purpose and joy, and using your life as an expression of these things. It comes from sufficient exercise combined with genuine rest. Deep health comes from a balanced diet of fresh, whole foods. Deep health doesn’t come from a pill or an operation. And thus, the concept for our most popular blog post and infographic we’ve ever created was born.Īt Precision Nutrition we believe in something we call deep health. Phil had been listening the entire time, and commented on how he had never heard it explained that way. And that there might be some less-than-pleasant trade-offs along the way. It never really dawned on him that at some point he would have to increase his output, and further refine his input if he still wanted to progress. He figured if he just kept doing his thing - eating pretty well, lifting 2-3 times per week, doing some yoga and being generally active - that the results would continue to just get better and better. And that there would be some trade-offs in his lifestyle if he still wanted to achieve that look. He couldn’t just do what he had done to lose those first 20lbs and expect to get jacked and ripped with that same approach. So I simply mentioned that to really get those kinds of results, he would likely have to do a bit more than he was doing now. And he commented that he couldn’t wait until he put on a bit more muscle and lost a bit more fat so he could fully see his abs. He was leaner and fitter than he had ever been. He was a little over halfway through the year, and was loving it.
