![]() This one was a quarter to a third lower apex and more run out than I typically get. I like a really high flight and very little movement when it lands. Trajectory was noticeably lower than my standard wedge. Perfect opportunity to try the 52 degree. Normally a 3/4 50 degree carries 95 yards. And, because the game finds your weakness, on the 5th hole, a couple was having me play through and I needed the 5i.decided to stand on the 6i since my 5 was not there and a 4 would fly the green. However, I wanted a security blanket, so kept the 50 degree and took out my 5 iron. the 52 would replace my 50, the 56 replace my 55 and the 60 replace my 60. For chipping I use the Mickelson Hinge and hold and almost always off the front foot, varying the amount of carry and roll by selecting a different loft. I love the quarter, half and 3/4 swings but when I go full swing on wedge I feel like I lose a bit of control so it is not something I do. ![]() I am a Pelz guy on Wedges.except I rarely use a full swing on wedges. ![]() The grips will be easy fix if I like them. Not overly worried about the shaft.I am not trying to dial up clubhead speed with a wedge, i want a very smooth, controlled swing. I play mid size jumbo grips, stiff shaft. I don't know the bounce/grind of any of them, which will come into play momentarily. The RSi are stiff shaft, the cleveland standard. Typically I carry 4 wedges: my PW, 50, and 55 degree in the now long in the tooth RSi, and a 60 degree Cleveland. Quick review of the first round with them.
